Anti-war Mass Assembly. Trafalgar Square. 8th October 11

On Saturday I attended the Stop the War Coalition's Anti-war Mass Assembly in Trafalgar Square and it was such an amazing experience to see people of all ages and races trying to become one voice. We are one and only with peaceful thoughts we can make this world a better place! Everyone talks about the crisis and about poverty, but in the meantime, the war machines keep on receiving funds. When it comes to war expenditures, how come we never say we are facing a financial crisis?
And PLEASE, since you're reading these lines and since you got here, think about this and also try to do whatever it takes to bring something good to people around you. There are simple steps everyone can take. That little girl you'll see in some photographs was brought by her grandfather and she wanted to stand alone, protesting against the war. Do not stay aside! Take action and stand up for what you believe in!
And what better way to close this post than with Kurt Cobain's "PEACE, LOVE, EMPATHY"?

"Stay foolish, stay hungry!"

"Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything - all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.
         I ’ll take that with me always. Thank you, Steve."

Alone with everybody

"Astăzi am terminat tehnoredactarea la Almanahul FotoIași care va fi lansat în data de 8 octombrie 2011 odată cu premierea câștigătorilor primului Salon Național de Fotografie Iași 2011. Almanahul are dimensiunile 21,5×24 cm, 188 pagini policromie și va avea coperta cartonată. Este o lucrare care cuprinde tot ce am făcut în cei aproape trei ani de când conceptul FotoIași a prins viață. Adică 30 de expoziții, Cafenelele, Proiecțiile, Membrii FotoIași, Prieteni ai noștri și alte subiecte interesante. În total sunt 640 fotografii care ilustrează activitatea noastră.
Prin conținutul său, Almanahul FotoIași este o lucrare unică în peisajul fotografiei românești.
Mulțumesc Colegilor care m-au ajutat cu imaginile lor în realizarea acestei lucrări: Iulia Antoniade, Ioana Bertea, Larissa Botezatu, Codrin Buzdugan, Mirela Cîmpeanu, Ecaterina Ciobanu, Gabriel Deliu, Gabriela Doboș, Alecsandra Drăgoi, Mihaela Gherasim, Liviu Gherman, Lavana Kray, Florin Macovei, Cristi Negru, Alexandrina Cristea-Olaru, Radu Onofrei, Iulia Pașcanu, Cristian Popescu, Daniel Popescu, Maria Radu, Ionela Rusu, Cătălin Sandu, Cristian Vieriu, Nicoleta Varga, Ștefan Vrănescu.
